SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- With the new year just around the corner, many people may be making the resolution to shed a few pounds in 2015.

A new diet promises to help you do that and make you feel 20 years younger.

That's the mission of the DASH diet.

DASH stands for "dietary approaches to stop hypertension."

That's why it was started, but now, the founder says it's also proven to turn your internal clock back, by filling your body with more fruits and veggies but no processed foods.

One success story is a woman who has shed almost 100 pounds in two years.
