Good Samaritan upset sex offender was released, did same crime
A good Samaritan who caught a man after he assaulted a child is upset to hear the same man got arrested for doing the same crime once again.

ALAMEDA COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) -- A San Leandro man who already did time for sexually assaulting a girl in a store is accused of committing the same exact crime. We first told you about Carlyle Villazon in 2010.

Detectives picked up the convicted sex offender on Wednesday. Investigators are sure he is the man in the surveillance video taken from the 99 Cents Only store near Hayward Sunday.

An 8-year-old girl told her mother a man had put his hands down her pants. He ran away, but a GPS ankle bracelet led police to Villazon.

"With that ankle bracelet putting him in the store, with the video that we have from the store, with some other things that we're working on, we're pretty confident it's him," Alameda County Sheriff's Sgt. J.D. Nelson said.

Villazon is wearing an ankle bracelet because he is out on parole for a similar attack back in 2010. He was caught at a Walmart store in San Leandro putting his hands down an 8-year-old girl's pants while she was alone in a toy aisle. He did 44 months for that crime.

Good Samaritan Dino Rinetti will never forget the suspect's face. He cornered Villazon at the Walmart until police arrived. Rinetti had no idea Villazon had been released from prison and he's angry about it.

He told ABC7 News, "They don't just do it one time. They're animals. They prey on the weak and that's what he does."

Villazon became a registered sex offender after his 2010 arrest.
