CONCORD, Calif. (KGO) -- The flu is sweeping through an East Bay school, keeping about 500 students home the past two days.

That's double the number of kids who are sick at Clayton Valley Charter High in Concord on an average day.

The school says they are taking necessary steps to maintain a safe and clean campus. The school sent out an email to parents alerting them of the situation.
