Supreme Court to issue ruling on same-sex marriage

WASHINGTON (KGO) -- The U.S. Supreme Court won't issue a key ruling on same-sex marriage until at least Thursday. The high court is expected to overturn same-sex marriage bans in Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee and Kentucky.

The justices could have released their decision today, but instead it will not come until Thursday or next Monday. The court's summer recess begins next week.

The Supreme Court did issue a few rulings this morning. One was a victory for California farmers. The court struck down a program that lets the government take raisins away from farmers to help reduce supply and boost market prices.

The justices also still must decide on a case involving the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.
